Danny’s Graduation | Boston, MA (via chengpb)
Congratulations to Danny for walking two feet from Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney General. It was a feat that many have dreamed of, but few have accomplished.
On another note, here’s a riveting discussion from lunch later that day:
What is japchae? It’s cellulose. No, it’s cellulite. No, gross man, cellulite is that stuff that makes you flabby. Japchae is cellophane. Wait, what’s cellulose again? Oh yea, that’s the stuff that cell walls are made of. Yea, plants are amazing. I love plants. Did you know that plant cells don’t have mitochondria? They don’t need it because they only go through the dark cycle. The Kreb Cycle that is. Oh yea, dark and light cycle, the Calvin Cycle. Panic ensues…
So I said that “plants don’t have mitochondria,” I may be confused, since I finished my Ph.D. in biology way back in third grade. But, am I right? Plants only need to go through the dark cycle? I know there’s a closet botanist out there squealing for the opportunity to reply. So please, by all means, educate us.
P.S. - See kids, this is why you need to pay attention in Freshman Bio. So you can have skull-crushing conversations with your peers later in life.
